As a Loan Officer at Lendexa Mortgage, you’ll guide clients through the loan process, providing personalized advice and financing options. You will evaluate financial situations, recommend suitable products, and ensure clear communication throughout the application process, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise all members of the Processing Department.
    • Manage day-to-day operations of all sub-departments, ensuring optimal productivity and quality.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members.
    • Monitor team performance metrics and address any issues or bottlenecks in the workflow.
  • Process Oversight:
    • Oversee setup, registration, and disclosure process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines, and disclosure accuracy.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all mortgage loan applications from set-up to closing.
    • Ensure all mortgage loans are properly prepared for underwriting.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines across all sub-departments.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of mortgage processing workflows.
    • Track and analyze performance metrics across all teams, using data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as underwriting, closing, and compliance to streamline operations.
    • Implement best practices to ensure a smooth and efficient mortgage processing lifecycle.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all mortgage loans are processed in full compliance with applicable regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and TILA.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and changes affecting mortgage processing.
    • Work with the compliance team to develop and enforce policies and procedures that mitigate risk.
    • Monitor disclosure timelines and accuracy to avoid regulatory penalties.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Act as an escalation point for any processing issues, working to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
    • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered by the processing teams at all stages of the loan application process.
    • Collaborate with sales and loan officer teams to maintain clear communication with borrowers and external partners.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage processing management.
  • Proven experience managing or leading teams within mortgage processing, including disclosure and set-up functions.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and investor mortgage regulations.
  • Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) and other industry software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
